The mission of the Education Committee is to provide families and educators with knowledge about the characteristics of dyslexia, how it is identified, and what effective learning strategies can be used to prevent it or provide intervention for it.  We also work to build educators’ skills in providing intervention to students with dyslexia by teaching them specific strategies and techniques that have strong evidence of effectiveness. We rely on educators in PK-12 and higher education to engage in these activities by teaching at committee events and building a catalogue of resources for instruction.
