Our first annual conference, entitled “Structured Literacy: Closing the Reading Gap” with keynote speaker, Louise Spear-Swerling, Ph.D. will be held on October 25, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m at the Courtyard Marriott Cromwell.  Devin Kearns, Ph. D. from the University of Connecticut will present the latest research on intervention- “Cutting Edge Approaches to Intervention: Compensation Strategies for Students with Dyslexia” and the West Hartford Public Schools’ Dyslexia Steering Committee will present on developing district protocols, from screening to intervention, in their presentation- “Paving the Way to Structured Literacy in the Public Schools”.  We hope you will join us for this exciting day of professional learning!
